The Gliadin polyclonal antibody was raised in rabbits by injecting the wheat Gliadin into the rabbits. The Gliadin polyclonal antibody was then collected and isolated from the rabbit's serum and purified using protein G affinity chromatography, with a purity level of over 95% confirmed. It is reactive with plant samples.

This Gliadin polyclonal antibody has been tested in ELISA and WB applications to identify and confirm the presence of Gliadin protein in plant samples. Gliadin is a type of protein found in wheat and other related grains. Gliadin is responsible for triggering an immune response in people with celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder that affects the small intestine.
